Professor Hayes is creating and running our website, coordinating donations, and serving as the team photographer.

She has been at ARC for well over 25 years and teaches many of the web, graphics, and internet marketing courses in the Computer Information Science Department. Little did Coach Holmes know, when searching for a website developer for the team, that he would find a lacrosse mom. One of her sons played for some of the first Sacramento lacrosse teams—Aces Lacrosse and Jesuit Lacrosse—before moving on to Loyola Marymount University Men's Lacrosse. He still participates in alumni games to this day. She is excited to be part of lacrosse again through American River College.

Rebecca (Becky) also competed on an athletic club team (not funded by the college). She knows firsthand the struggles of being a student, holding multiple jobs, and trying to find the time and money to play on a nationally ranked team. She was a three-event skier on the Sacramento State Intercollegiate Waterski Team.  At the time, the team was ranked 3rd in the nation and traveled throughout California and across the U.S. to compete. 

 

Fundraising and earning money were always a challenge. She hopes to help in this area, encouraging all women who want to play on ARC’s lacrosse team to be given the opportunity.
