Cyan Overholt
President
Cyan is also a sophomore at American River College and is pursuing a degree in biology. She currently works as a dental assistant and is slowly building her application for dental school.
Throughout her childhood and into high school she played competitive soccer and ultimately stopped after tearing her meniscus. In her senior year of high school after lots of physical therapy she decided to give lacrosse a try.
She worked with the assistant coach to get up to speed before pre-season started. Her hard work paid off as she became a starter playing attack on the varsity team. Instantly falling in love with the sport and its amazing community, she hoped her already short lacrosse career wouldn't just end there.
One day after classes she ran into her former high school teammate, Liza, and the two discussed how much they missed the sport and how sad it was that there were no club teams for college students around. The two decided to start the club with the hopes of not only being able to continue to play the sport they both love, but also to find a sense of community for themselves and many others.

Ankita Nair
Vice-President
Ankita is a sophomore at American River College and is pursuing her degree in Psychology with a focus on autism and sports. She is actively working as a teacher for children with autism and is working to obtain her RBT certification.
Growing up, she played numerous sports including flag football, basketball, volleyball, and was on swim team. She has one season of lacrosse under her belt and upon hearing about ARC’s upcoming team she was quick to join.
Working alongside her former biology professor and current assistant coach she has worked to better herself in the sport and understand her position on defense better. She is deeply excited to continue to build this lacrosse community and see how far the team goes.
