Cyan is also a sophomore at American River College and is pursuing a degree in biology. She currently works as a dental assistant and is slowly building her application for dental school.

 

Throughout her childhood and into high school she played competitive soccer and ultimately stopped after tearing her meniscus. In her senior year of high school after lots of physical therapy she decided to give lacrosse a try. 

 

She worked with the assistant coach to get up to speed before pre-season started. Her hard work paid off as she became a starter playing attack on the varsity team. Instantly falling in love with the sport and its amazing community, she hoped her already short lacrosse career wouldn't just end there.

 

One day after classes she ran into her former high school teammate, Liza, and the two discussed how much they missed the sport and how sad it was that there were no club teams for college students around. The two decided to start the club with the hopes of not only being able to continue to play the sport they both love, but also to find a sense of community for themselves and many others.
